' The Hit '

Meet YONTI, not your ordinary grumpy middle-aged man.

This was a fun animation project, trying to blend a physical diorama set ( built in collaboration with some friends), with a 3D character for the very first time! learning a lot from the trial and errors of animating, lighting and compositing in this hybrid method, it was surely a journey worth embarking for.

One of the new lessons i've learnt in this project was the importance of detailed lighting - to see where the light sources are coming from, its light temperature, intensity, softness, etc.

Animation was also a huge learning curve here as it took quite a few versions to really sell his irritable and explosive personality in succint movements.

Additionally, an extra skill i have gained in making this piece was foley , it was an eye-opening experience to designing sound effects from everyday objects and seeing it come to life.
